Club Annual competition

The Club Annual competition is held at the end of the season and is judged externally.

Members may submit up to five digital images and five prints.

Each entry attracts up to thirty marks and there are awards for:

  • the highest individual mark for prints;
  • the highest individual mark for digital images;
  • the highest aggregate score for prints; and
  • the highest aggregate score for digital images.

The competition is “open”, meaning members may pick any subject.

Submitting entries

How to submit digital image entries

  1. Each entry must have a title.
  2. Entries must be anonymous, therefore the photographer’s name must not appear in the title or the file name.
  3. Entries must be submitted in jpeg format, sized at 150 dpi and, regardless of whether the image is in portrait or landscape format, not greater than 1024 pixels horizontally and 768 pixels vertically.
  4. Entries must not pre-date 1 September 2018, but may have been submitted in other Club competitions.
  5. Entries may be submitted as either a digital image or a print, but not both.
  6. Entries are submitted to the Digital Competitions Secretary, either by email or other media as advised by or agreed with the Secretary.
  7. For the submission date, refer to the Programme.

How to submit print entries

  1. Each entry must have a title.
  2. Entries must be anonymous, therefore the photographer’s name must not appear anywhere on the print or mount.
  3. Prints must be mounted, minimum print size 7” x 5”, maximum mount size 20” x 16”.
  4. Entries must not pre-date 1 September 2018, but may have been submitted in other Club competitions.
  5. Entries may be submitted as either a digital image or a print, but not both.
  6. Entries are submitted to the Print Competitions Secretary as advised by or agreed with the Secretary.
